Renter Responsibilities

Renters are responsible to leave the Studio in the same condition it was found. This includes moving furniture back, sweeping, vacuuming, and wiping surfaces as needed, replacing trash bags, and taking trash with them. A cleaning fee of $75/hour will be assessed and invoiced separately for anything left uncleaned.

Payments

The Renter is responsible for making payment to Water House to reserve their booking. A booking is not official and time is not reserved until payment is made. Payment cannot come from the renter’s client, it must come from the person/business who signs the rental agreement. We will invoice the renter via email, which can be paid by credit card. Payment can also be made by check or cash and mailed to our billing address 1045 22nd St. Des Moines, IA 50311 (please note this is not our studio location).

Rental Time

Renters are not allowed to enter the studio until rental time starts. Please account for setup and cleanup time. This must be included in your rental period. Entering the building before the rental time starts or staying late will incur fees. We recommend telling clients to come at least 15-30 minutes after your arrive. This allows you setup time and prevents early clients from standing around waiting outside.

  • Re-scheduling

  • Rental period can be rescheduled one time (within a 2 week period) if we are notified at least 48 hours in advance and there is available studio time.

  • Cancellations & Refunds

  • If you cancel at least 24 hours before your booking and choose not to reschedule, you’ll receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled time are not eligible for a refund. No-shows are considered a cancellation and will not be eligible for a refund.

  • Extra Time Fee

  • If more time than what was originally booked is needed to complete your shoot please contact us 30 minutes prior to the end of your rental to request more time. We may have another renter coming, in which case you must finish before your time ends. If we are not notified within 30 minutes prior to the end of your rental time an additional $75 fee will be applied to your extended rental period.

Not Allowed

  • • Use of glitter and confetti is not allowed at the Studio. Renter will be billed a $150 fee on top of $75/hour cleaning fee for any use of glitter and/or confetti.

  • • Photography or video recording of nudity, partial nudity, or boudoir is not allowed.

  • • Photography or video recording of minors without a parent or guardian at the Studio is not allowed. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

  • • Leaving trash, decorations, props, or anything else at the Studio is prohibited. A disposal fee will be billed to the renter​​ if trash is left at the studio. Anything left at the studio, unclaimed for 7 days will be considered trash and disposed of.

  • • Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes is not allowed in the building or within 25 feet of the building. Renter agrees to enforce this policy to all associates.
